FAQ

Where are you located?

  1. We have 3 locations. And MOBILE - our 14 person barrel sauna can come to the location of your choice as well.

    • 1. The Port: Find Just Sauna at Fængselsvej 43 in 2620 Albertslund, right next to Slow Burn Micro Brewery. Just a 5 min. walk from the train station.

    • 2. Urban13: Bispeengbuen 20, 2000 Frederiksberg

    • 3. Wellness Spa: Frederikssund, right by the train station. Opening in 2025

    What is SaunaGus? (aufguss)

Aufguss (a German word for “infusion) is a wellness ritual performed in the sauna, usually by an “Aufgussmeister” or “Sauna Master.”

The ritual involves pouring water mixed with essential oils onto the hot stones of the Finnish sauna stove, after which the Aufgussmeister directs the hot, scented steam towards the bathers using rhythmical movements of a towel, accompanied by music.

Can I cool down between sessions?

Yes. We have a cold outdoor shower and a cold water tub where you can cool down in the breaks. For special events at certain location we even have an Ice Bath. See event description for more information.

How long time does a SaunaGus lasts?

Most of our SaunaGus events last for 75 minutes incl. breaks while some of the Special Events such as the Full Moon events lasts longer. See more in event description.

When coming for sauna, where can I change my clothes?

    • The Port: We have an indoor changing wagon for your clothes to remain dry while relaxing in the sauna. There is storage for your stuff as well. Storage is at your own risk. Just to note that we have not experienced any theft in the 3 years we have existed.

    • Urban13: Feel free to change in the large restrooms and place your stuff in the furniture in front of the sauna in our little winter oasis.

Do I have to wear swimwear?

    • The Port: Clothing is optional unless else is stated. The space is non-sexual which is to say no touch and no comments or other people’s bodies. Body is just body. You decide the amount of clothing you want to wear inside the sauna. The only thing required is a big towel to protect the sauna wood from the acid in your sweat. You can rent one on site.

    • Shelter214 and Urban13: You should wear swimwear in addition to always bringing a big towel to sit on inside the sauna.

    What to bring?

It is required to bring a big towel to cover all of your skin and sit on inside the sauna to protect the sauna wood. We recommend bringing 2 towels; one for inside the sauna and 1 for drying afterwards. You can rent big towels on site as well.

Is can be nice to have a metal water bottle (or just buy a Nalgene 1L BPA-free Just Sauna bottle), slippers, a bath robe, an extra towel for after sauna, a sauna hat (you can also buy one on site) and warm clothing for after sauna.

Do you have a Lost and Found box?

    • The Port: Should you have enjoyed yourself to the extent where your sauna brains forget things, don’t worry - it happens all the time. We have Lost and Found section in a blue box by the entrance (unlocked and open 24/7) where you can see for yourself if what you lost has found its way to the lost and found box. We keep things for 5 days before they are disposed or recycled.

    • Urban13: There is an open outdoor Lost and Found box you can take a look at if you forgot something. We keep things for a maximum of 5 days.

Who is doing the SaunaGus session?

We post on our instagram profile (just_sauna) and on our facebook page on a weekly basis who is doing the coming sauna sessions, so stay tuned! In 2025 we will launch a more detailed booking system with information about the Sauna Masters. TBA.

How old should I be to participate?

You need to be a minimum of 15 years old to attend our SaunaGus Events. You are however, free to book the sauna for a private event if you wish to bring kids and younger people into the sauna. Then the session can be adapted to the audience and their needs.

For our Yoga and other non-sauna related events, you just have to be 8 years to join. Children must always be accompanied by an adult.
