To ensure that we can build upon knowledge that you already possess and provide further knowledge for all participants and take you on the next step on your journey to become a Sauna Aufguss Master you need to:

1. Sauna experience: have Inside the sauna experience

2. Base Course: have a Sauna Aufguss Master Base Course from ether Just Sauna or a similar course (read: “Gusmester” course from The Danish Sauna Association, Gusmester.dk, Sauna85, Nordic Health and Living or other providers) previous to taking this course.

3. Classic swings: be able to do the classic swing techniques (helicopter and variations in addition to the X and variations such as parachute and flags).

4. Oils: have basic oil dosage and extraction knowlege

5. Safety: have basic safety understanding inside and outside the sauna

Theoretical knowledge: Understanding the sauna culture and Sauna, the health benefits and thermal understanding and the doctrine of the body's physiological response.

Technical skills: You will learn about the different essential oils and their properties as well as the use of oils (both in water and ice) and knowledge about ventilation when using a towel.

Safety: You will learn how to handle if a guest becomes unwell, so you know what to do.

Musical understanding: You will learn how to align your body movement with your choice of music and the intention of the session.

Intentional aufguss: You will learn to work with our “Sessions with Intention”-method.

Practical training: You will practice the correct dosage and use of essential oils, classic towel swings, basic advanced towel swings, how music can support your intention in your sessions so that you can create a safe and lovely session for your guests.

Practice takes time: At Just Sauna we provide you with the required inside the sauna training time, experience with a live paying audience and the routines of preparing, executing and finishing a sauna aufguss event. You will be part of our training programme where you - before your exam - take 18 shifts and a mid-way graduation, where you get familiar with the final exam requirements, get individual feedback and personalized learning perspectives.

After completing a practical exam you will get a diploma that supports that you can perform a modern classic sauna aufguss based on the criteria set by the Danish Sauna Association in connection with the annual Danish Sauna Aufguss championship. You can use music to support your intention and the choices of music and movement being aligned is examined.

The diploma is issued by Just Sauna and carried out by a qualified examiner. The content of this course will follow the future rules and requirements of The Danish Sauna Association to become a national certified Sauna Aufguss Master.
